Sapete cosa significa : In the long run ??
Letteralmente l’espressione significa “nella lunga corsa”, ma in realtà significa “alla lunga, a lungo termine, alla fine”.

Example:

 

In the long run I realised my mom was right, I should have studied English more. ( Alla fine ho realizzato mia madre aveva ragione, avrei dovuto studiare di più l’inglese.)
